This is a poem about dolphins. Dolphins...which everyone loves. Wording and illustration are upbeat and fun. I like the sounds of these rhymes: surface, cuteness, purpose, resoluteness. The repeat line is appropriate for the sounds of a dolphin. Marilyn

Great use of the repetition in this poem to bring out the repeated playfulness of dolphins and their interesting form of communication with clicks and whistles! Nice job!

HI! Thank you :)
Comment from Joan E.
Thank you for sharing your joy of anything "dolphin"! I am glad this prompt popped up so that you could intensify your theme with repetition. I relished your capturing the sounds as well as the sight of this "bottlenose cuteness". Cheers and best wishes in the competition- Joan

Hi Joan! I suppose every summer is another theme. Last year was unicorns and repeat of ladybug. This year looks looks like unicorns, mermaids and dolphins are popular. Its a cute mammal. You're nice. Thank you. Have a great day. God bless you. Smiles, Alicia

I really like your poem. I live on Palm Island in Florida. The Gulf of Mexico is my front yard and the bay is my backyard. I often see dolphins swimming and playing in the water.

Hi Thomas! That must be a beautifully relaxing sight to lounge too. I grew up in South Florida. Dolphins love the Gulf of Mexico. I think because of that Bermuda Triangle.Lolz. Stay blest. Have a great day. Smiles, Alicia aka Sunnilicious

Such a delightful poem - it is written so that it actually makes the reader happy and want to listen to all those clicks and whistles!! :) :) And I cannot tell you how much I absolutely love the "Hippie" designation -- that is awesome! :) :)
Thank you for sharing and good luck in the contest! :)

-Very nice graphics and presentation.
-Effective imagery and repeated lines.
-You capture the spirit of the dolphin well:
"Glides, squeals and twirls at the surface
With its slick bottlenose cuteness."
-Good luck in the contest.

Good job on writing a repetition poem. 'Clicks and whistles, whistles and sounds' has a nice ring to it, and yet I'm wondering why you chose to use 'whistles' twice. You gave a lot of good information about dolphins in your poem. great job!

This is a very enjoyable poem describing that playful sea creature, the dolphin. Dolphins seem like one the more personable types of fish, and you captured that in your poem.
I do have a little suggestion...''Dolphin, gray that swims in the sea'' should be ''Dolphin gray, that swims in the sea''
This is a wonderful entry for the Repetition contest. Best wishes, and thank you for sharing! Blessings, Therese
