I have had a lot of pets in my life but I have never dreamt to dress them up in coloured tutus or costumes ...it's a waste of money and the pets don't appreciate them ...they are uncomfortable and their movements are restricted.
When my "boys" got old I put a raincoat on them when we went out walking ..the winters are cold in the north of Italy but that's it...
It seems to be a crazy thing a lot of people in America do ...there should be a law against it .

Haha, yes, there should be a law against it. Thank you for the fantastic review, tempeste. I really appreciate the generous stars. I'm glad you liked this silly little piece. Have a great weekend.

Here we go again, Ron, heh-heh.
Don't ya feel so sorry for those poor mutts whose humans dress them up on a regular basis?
Fer cryin' out loud, dogs have hair all over their bodies. They don't need a pink tutu around the waist, rhinestone vests, pink and white leopard booties on all four PADDED paws, and a tiara on their heads to help keep 'em warm.
They're DOGS, people...dogs!
Not porcelain dollies nor figures stuffed with bean bags beans or cotton fluff.
They're walking, barking, sh!tting, p!ssing, living, breathing animals.
Good luck in the Rhyming Alliterisen contest.

Hey, D, yep, here we go again, friend. Lol. I was actually going to go a different route with this one at first but when I came across this picture that's just what came to mind, ha. I'm glad to see you agree with me about this matter. That's what I say, they're not little dolls to play dress-up with. Thank you for the great review and generous stars, friend. Best of luck to you. Looks like we're neck in neck again, lol. Have a great weekend, D.

I gave you a six for making me laugh!! I told my oldest I have a different sense of humor than most, you know, and he said "Yeah, cuz it's non-existent!" It isn't! I just don't find things most people I know find funny to be funny. And today has been a very heavy emotional day, to boot, so you earned that six! Thank you. It was exactly what I needed... Of course, all the technical stuff was right on ; )

Lol, thank you so much for the fantastic review and huge sixer, M. When I came across this pic I just had to use it. I get what you mean, most people don't get my twisted humor. I don't even bother reading my wife my crap anymore, she just doesn't appreciate the humor as I do. I'm glad some people do though. Thank you again, M. I'm glad you liked this silliness. Have a wonderful weekend.

This contest appears to be challenging but I think you nailed it. Sometimes it's difficult to just read a piece and enjoy it without applying all the restrictions of a contest. But you did a great job pulling that off. Now I'll be thinking of this little dog defending his honor all night. Seven syllables at a time. Well done poet.
... Bite the bitch... Lol!

Lol. Yeah, you can't get in a good rhythmic pattern when it's 7 syllables per line. But hey, I gave it a try. I found this pic and it looked like what he was thinking so that's what I went with, lol. Thank you for the great review, Lynda. I'm glad you liked this silliness. Hope this little pug doesn't haunt your thoughts all night long, haha. Have a great night, L.

Nice work. Yeah, the seven syllable thing is like walking around limping. Lol. Good luck with this. L

You've outdone yourself with alliteration. It is fun to picture the dog talking giving a cautionary message. I have mixed emotions about people who dress animals for humans' entertainment. this draws the reader in to debate on the issue and whether the lady may deserve to be gently bitten. This would make a great little Halloween cartoon. Your use of alliteration is not overdone either. Well written. I'm voting for this
