You are too much! You remind me of my husband. As always, I love your work, love your expanded vocabulary and wish I had half your humor. Great poem, great illustration!

Thank you so much for the wonderful comments. You really are too kind (but much appreciated). Craig
Comment from Gloria ....
What a cute little egghead sitting on his wall. Walls are cool though, but I've said time and again it's much better to build statues if one wants to be memorialized. Walls are however good for growing tomatoes. I agree it is the walls within the keep evil firmly in place.
Excellent poem and I like the word too friend, Craig.

Thanks so much, Gloria. Speaking of growing tomatoes, time is fast going by, soon it will be too late for all the planting we promised ourselves to get around to this season. Most grateful for the lovely comments, Craig

Lol. I never did understand that odd nursery rhyme. You use it well to allude to our political situation and you're right. The new way to get in the country is to fly to Canada (much cheaper than hiring a coyote) and entering from the north.

Thanks so much, Helen. It seems a project doomed to fail. Haven't heard so much about it lately, has it more or less been abandoned, or just faded into the background? Cheers, Craig

Cute and clever Humpty Dumpty. Your writing describes well what a person should do to make themselves whole after they have fallen and experienced a brokenness that only God can fix.

You make a valid point about walls, Craig. What do walls keep in or keep out. Your presentation expresses your thoughts well. Good job on the rhymes, the flow, the picture, and most of all the message. This is a great use of the form for your word. Thanks for sharing. Jan

Hi, Craig,
Walls don't work and they never have. The folly of Dumpster's plan is that a wall has existed in many places along the border. It didn't matter. Posting troops is a folly, too, unless he plans to post them every five feet.
And all of the promises to Americans that we wouldn't have to pay for his dream of keeping everyone out have been broken.
Humpty Dumpster just continues to tear America down,

-Good image for your word of the day, Craig.
-I like your poem with good
rhyme, description, and use of the word.
-I like the ideas in verse one, as
we try to hide behind walls.
-The example of "Berlin's parietine"
is very good.
-Thanks for sharing.

You are very welcome, Craig. You have a good weekend, too.

I am beginning to see how your mind works-- just a little. You see parietine, and you immediately think Humpty Dumpty, Jericho and Berlin. I think that I would have as well. The genius creativity comes in putting those disjunct concepts into a poem. You are so good at that.
This was a remarkable, fun poem.

Damn, Debbie, you've got me sussed now. It's true, I see a word, and my mind dredges up random images without much rhyme or reason. Strangely, it's not often all that hard to tie seemingly unrelated things together :)
Thanks for the lovely comments, I really do appreciate them. Have a wonderful weekend -- Craig.

I don't think you realize, nobody else could put those thoughts together. It's fun to watch you do it.
