eirenicon - it's quite a complicated word both in sounding and description.

How delightful is your innovative approach to armistice, Craig? We can't really say "fighting" is in our DNA because all living things have it, so I'm thinking aggression, like ebb and flow is more of a mathematical equation.

That said, I wonder what book you're gonna get for Christmas this year to write a poem a day about next year? haha. Sorry for being a little sadistic there. LOL. Not really.

This is an excellent poem for Armistace day (Remembrance Day). I wish that everyone extended and accepted an "olive branch" and that wars would be a thing of the past. Wishful thinking, huh? "running out of juice" and "soldier on" ... luv it! Lovely presentation!

Hi, Craig.

Nice job with this poem. Strong flow, rhyme, and presentation, but the theme was also touching a deep root in the current tone of today. There's no break. The fires of dogma and rhetoric, semantics and general human decency-lacking flame on every time a screen turns on, it seems. And it seems to light all it touches, to the point of holy crap... uncle bob just jumped the table to punch cousin Fred over ... what's the current topic everyone's fighting over today?

At some point, all this demonizing and explosion of reducing others over every disagreement, and being bombarded with brain-exploding behavior that others shrug and say, nothing wrong to see here ... it's not only exhausting, but we forget how to interact with each other any other way.

The last line is apt, this flaw in humanity ... whatever it stems from ... unreasonable reasoning? Taking a discussion to ten? and interjecting poo? I don't know.

I spent an hour I didn't have yesterday straight arguing with my brother over the semantics of if or if not some stupid video footage was altered or naturally occurring in the Giffing process. Wtf is wrong with us?

Nice job with this poem.

Very astute poem using this cool word. I recognize the Greek word for peace - ereine. And you're right that it's never a true peace. Like the WW1 truce in Christmas Day.
