Hey, Craig,

Read through this poem, this morning, too.

This was a pleasure. The first set of the poem set up an ominous feel, with a reoccuring structure to the phrasing that worked to build a tone weaving emotional and physical storms together.

Yet, flooding rain one day gives way to sun,

The second set flips the tone, from ominous to reflective and hopeful... that even the dark storms can, sometimes, have benifits in the grand scheme of things... giving a that which doesn't kill...

All with a stable, flowing, pleasing rhyme structure.

A very apt unweather poem with the heatwaves and the flooding rains, that's been happening on this eastern side lately.But, as you say it will pass things will settle and all will be good again.

Old Earth goes on about her business as always, in a milder stretch now than most of her history, and humans overbreed and get in her way and die by millions. Standard operating procedure. Even a near-total extinction now and again is part of the plan...you just have to be lucky...unweather...beats inclement weather by several characters...excellent rhyming quatrains....

We are having our best rain in years as I type this today. It's causing flooding problems in some areas, but is sorely needed. At the same time, a neighbouring state is experiencing its worst wildfires on record. So we can also sympathise with Californians at the moment. Unweather, indeed. Many thanks, Helen.

A very well-written poem about stormy weather that can freak us all out from time to time. It usually start with dark clouds that seem scary by itself and often after the first drops fell it is quickly over and the sun shines again.
