Wow, bill, I wouldn't like to be dreaming these sorts of dreams nightly. I have heard of counting sheep, but let us say, I would be counting nightmares was I forced to have such imagery in my waking hours...especially 'counting warewolves.
Well done.
My best wishes.

Lol. What is that creature - a werewolf? He looks more like some Marvel comic creature. What is a the walking fish reference? Aquaman? I don't think I'd fall asleep with this picture in mind, counting werewolves!

Creature from the Black Lagoon, or the modern equivalent, the fishman from 'The Shape of Water'.

Hi Bill. I have no idea what this poem is about but it is well composed and illustrated. Rhyming is super. Cadence and flow roll along nicely. Marilyn

I would not care to count werewolves chasing sheep. This is kind of a twisted take on some of the things we hear as children==such as counting sheep and dreaming harmless dreams. You show the dark side where Dracula seems to have taken over. Well, to him the best things in life were dead, I suppose. Excellent rhyme and flow and an unusual subject. judi

Hi Bill, I liked this dark poem which also follows a nice rhythm and rhyming. So it seems he has his demons to deal with as werewolves are chasing the sheep. All the best. Ulla:))

A wandering write of a wondering mind with a talent for rhyme -- really enjoyed it, Bill! :) ;) Even with the seemingly ominous picture, I think this is my fav in a while! :) ;) Thanx for sharing! :) Yvette

Clever use of repeated rhymes and similar-sounding words. But why go toward darkness and danger? I don't think I could sleep at night if my mind were full of vampires. Somehow, that stuff doesn't bother guys as much. It's that crazy Y chromosome! :)

I?d do hearts and flowers, but then I?d be winning all the contests.

Such an unusual idea for going to sleep. It would be hard to keep up with how werewolves are chasing sheep because I'd be watching for the sheep to escape. lol
Entertaining, good rhyme, and unusual. All good points.

Oh, no!
I would much rather count werewolves than sheep, Bill.
You see, I suffer from Ovinaphobia, which is the irrational fear of sheep and goats.
Must be a religious thing.
Lemme tell ya, when it's difficult to go to sleep counting something you're afraid of doesn't make it any easier!
The Cowardly Lion of the Wizard of Oz fame also suffered from this same phobia.
Go figure...
