Very clever use of His Holiness and His Hooliness Craig. Now that you are coming to the end of your book, I wonder what's on this year's Christmas list for you. Another challenge?
cheers,
valda

Great play on words, Craig ... "His Hooliness". :) This is an excellent Limerick and an excellent picture that you found. I gotta admit that whenever I think of the Pope I do think of a very slow moving man. I've never seen one move quickly, but then, they are all "advanced in years" as you say.
Cheers,
Connie

They sure are, Connie. They must have a bad pension plan or something, to work so long ;-) Most grateful, Craig

That's a fun pun. I think his Holiness does move in hooliness so that he can connect more with the people. I'm not Catholic but Pope Francis seems to be much more the peoples' pope.

Comment from Gloria ....
What a most cool word this one is. Hooliness which I must admit has a better tone than hole li ness. But then again it means something entirely different, yes?
Much enjoyed.

A fun little limerick and, perhaps, just a bit of a 'literary poke' of fun at a 'situation'...certainly brings a smile to almost every face!! :) ;) Thanx so much for sharing your dry wit, sir! ;) :) Yvette :)

Hello there, Craig. I enjoyed reading your pontifical poetic poetry. I was getting ready to tell you to edit ... hooliness... but saw that is was the focus of your verse. Another good word from your book. Thanks for sharing.

A very well-written poem about a day in the life of the Pope. It is quite hard to be around that are doing things slowly as if they are in a trance of some sort. It can drive me nuts to watch them when I am in a hurry.

Ha! I guess everyone's hooliness may keep us from doing what we'd like to do, even the pope. This limerick is well done with good rhyming and theme. Marilyn

Thanks very much, Marilyn. I'm not sure what it is he'd like to be doing, but I'm sure there are days it's not what he's paid to do. Most grateful, Craig

From what I've heard, I think Popes can do just about anything they want. We know from history they didn't always practice what they preached.

Hi Craig. What a clever way to use that word. Until I read your notes, I thought you meant holiness. That was deliberate,!'m sure. Great job on this. Thank you for sharing

Thanks very much, Pam. Yes, "hooliness" looked like "holiness" to me, which is what inspired this bit of silliness. Most grateful, Craig
