Hey, Craig,
I read through this poem a few days ago, and it came to mind to day as I'm planning to deep, down and dirty scurryfunge at my aunt's house, today ... in a few hours, in fact. But I couldn't remember the word, so I popped back onto my computer to find it.
Figured to mention that this little poem had stuck in my head, probably because of the shout out to algebra. (and because I needed a word that matched my having to hastily clean my aunts house for an upcoming Christmas party, and cleaning : O
(with oh-man-face) just wasn't the right tone.
Yay for substitutions to allow for rhymes that equal. I thought the monorhyming worked well.
I know this isn't much of a review, more of a thanks for this word, and to mention that I enjoyed reading.

I think your aunt is onto something, Turtle. We might throw a Christmas party too, just so we can get people to come over and clean house for us ;-)
Thanks for what was, in spite of your misgivings, a fine and much appreciated review. Hope you enjoyed the cleaning!

Another cool word, I love it. Where on earth would it come from I wonder.
Better make this my last review and go an scurryfunge LOL, too late and too hot still for housework,
cheers

Doing housework in the heat is the pits. Our yard needs mowing, but the last couple of days I just haven't been able to force myself to get out there. There's always tomorrow for cleaning ;-) Many thanks, Valda.

I definitely enjoyed reading it, the picture was an amazing idea, as it fits perfectly well with your poet rhyming phrases. Very new way of rhyming, which is very difficult for anyone to imitate you. Put in a contest, surely you will win. Terry xoxo

Lol. I like your monolimerick, Craig. But I would say that if you really scurryfunge, which is what I do when guests are coming, I don't think you would do a job from floor to rafters.

Comment from Gloria ....
Well you are allowed to use whatever creative rhyming you like as long as there isn't any Pinesol in that mess of cleaning supplies.
Great job and a most fun word with lots of potential. :))

"The scurryfunge will get you, if you don't watch out."
"How much is that scurryfunge in the window?"
I think I'm catching on :)
Many thanks, Gloria.
Cheers,
Craig

The age-old job of cleaning the house seems to be a sort of inspiration. Scurryfunge, in my case, is a good word for it, although my husband likes to do most of the cleaning and leave the cooking to me, while he appreciates the other hobbies I have.

Hi, Craig,
This little ditty should be on a plaque and distributed to everyone before their in-laws show up.
Thank you for such a thoughtful way to introduce this new word,

LOL. I love this piece on scurryfunge. I am about to post a poem myself on this very topic. Great job with monorhyming--grunge/expunge/plunge/sponge/scurryfunge. Marilyn
