Cheer up Bill, I don't believe that anyone who knows you will think that this an indication that you are in anyway a fruitcake. Maybe a fruit aficionado, a fruit consumer even, but definitely not a fruitcake.

Oh well there's always next year. It could be better if the poem was longer than a 5-7-5, which doesn't give you a lot to work with. Happy New Year's.

This is a nice five seven five poem. At least your ending the year writing! I think every poem I write I wish I could make it better, but after going over and over I finally say well that's the best I got right now, and done . Thank you for sharing this.

I actually thought the title read the old commercial phrase, "I can't believe it's not butter." Good use of allusion for your piece. I know you can do better and will look forward to it in 2019. Happy New Year, Bill!
