I think this an excellent reaction to all the negativity that is around us. I believe some people just feel compelled to complain and fan the flames of discontent. Life is so short that there has to be a better way for those people to express themselves. Better yet, just stay away from those people. Good luck.

This is a lovely poem. The loss could be a person or something else. I like how you left it open to interpretation. It also carries a valuable lesson about being grateful for what we have. Nicely done and in so few words.
