They are amazing! I just saw a young woman jogging into the woods today. It wasn't too bad weather-wise but I won't job/walk if the roads are icy. I join you in admiring those dedicated athletes!

Good luck in the contest with this so-true entry. I admire those people, too. I believe they "get in the zone" as my daughter used to say when running (until her knee started bothering her). Your piece is well written and rhymed. Marilyn

    I used to coach cross-country and admired my runners who ran in all conditions every day. I ran, too, but only INDOORS in the winter. Many thanks for sharing ?Winter Warrior.?

This is an excellent Naani poem with the correct syllables
If the roads look like the picture, I'll be home warm and comfortable
admiring the beauty of the snow.

My hubby has just had his knee replaced...my couch potato has become chipper. He gets up at 5 o'clock in the morning and walks 2 miles...even when it's below freezing
