"All of me, why not take all of me, la-la-laaa....smooooth as silk ol' Willie's voice croons-on, carrying-carrying-carrying, sweeping me up into your sweet, dreamy words."
Okay, fellows, quit elbowing ... there's room for everyone! ; p
Goodness, Jimi ... whew!
And, here I sat convinced my ol' ticker was gonna lay back ... then, You come along, and just look at what you've done. The screen is melting, my mouse is skittering around with its tail smoking, and I'm trying to save some breath to stay alive ... LOL!
Truly, you've set the very air alive with sweet, sultry radiance, and I love it ~ just like I outta!
I don't know about dancing "with" the stars, but you've sure made stars dance all inside my fertile imagination.
This is as beautifully enchanting as sensuality can get, and in delicious taste ... what's not to love? I'm sure in the mood for it, thanks to You 'n ol' Willie! ~ Richard ; )

Sorry, I'm out of sixes right now. I owe ya one:))). ~Kerry

Beautiful!
I feel the same about sports. I love the cadence, the balance, the success of a perfect play. I've always thought about dance, too; I love the way you described it and wondered if you could love someone that way. Indeed, I think the love comes first, and then the dance ... or the sport ... and often the writing.
Your was a very nicely written piece. Applause, applause ...

Hi Jimi, happy fourth to you! What a great description of the seduction of dance. I also am a big dance fan. Ny favorite is salsa. You've captured the magic and sensuality of movement in your lines with excellent descriptions and connected with the reader on a visceral level. Great writing.

Comment from Poetic Friend
Jimi,
I am on the site minimally these days. Full-time work and care giving do not allow me much free time. I rarely post or write. When I do write, I post short poems (5-7-5, etc.). Surprisingly, I managed to write the poem Life of a Rose, which was inspired by a work colleague who gave me a rose. If your time permits, please read it.
Well, onwards to your poem.
I understand your passion and excitement when watching dance. I get the same excitement when watching So You Think You Can Dance.
Your poem passionately describes the dance passion with well-chosen words. I felt and saw the movement on the dance floor. Your poem makes the reader wants to experience Dancing with the Stars. The alliteration gives the poem rhythm and beat.
Jimi, please tell me that you are submitting your work to literary magazines. You are an exceptional poet who should be recognized. Yet, you are humble, which I love.

The way you have structured this is so beautifully thoughtful! I watch this myself and you have definitely captured how I feel when watching these inexperienced stars develop into glorious dancers! Well done!

I have never watched the show "Dancing with the stars", but your description of the art of the dance was more moving than any TV show could be. You say words could never describe, but I believe you have accomplished that goal, especially with the expression, "magically inhuman."

Oh, my favorite show!! What a wonderful way you invoked the essence of the show. It's far more than just about watching dancers, it's about watching the journey and imagining it's you!!
Well done,

Jimi : )) Nice to see you are still around wooing and enchanting fanstorians with your wonderful words. I'm not one to watch dancing with the stars but I do love to dance and watch people who know how to dance. Moana and I did do three years of ballroom back in the day so I could seduce her with my motion, ha ha
I Hope you are doing ok friend?

The question is... how are you? You have been missing in action for a while! Well, I suppose we are both
wanderers, eh?
Thank you so very much. I am always
honored, always when you stop by.
Me? My life has been joyfully busy.
I moved out into the countryside a year and a half ago. Love it! Gardening is my new passion but , also, I help my sons and the one daughter here buy and flip small properties. Also, my ex?s caregiver and grandchildren to galore. Life is good. Have rekindled my passion for photography, and my health and wellness business.
Yep, life is sometimes too busy. But people and passions you are in love with, can never get tiring. Eh?
How about you?
Thank you once again!
How are you and your beautiful family? I get your girls have grown up so fast.
Will get to your work soon.
Again a huge thank you. I am so stoked you have stopped by.

life has been crazy busy over here Moana's curtain business is thriving. Taupo is going through a property boom at present. A lot of New homes/ housing estates being built so plenty of work for me too, Life it busy but great, Moana went away and did a three week outward bound course last winter, sailing, kayaking, abseiling, trekking through the mountains she ran a half marathon, had to do a three day solo experiance in the bush/mountain. She had been struggling since her dad past and needed to press the reset button her father had been a bush/mountain man back in his day so she loved it and she returned a different person : ) My girls are 15 and almost 17, the older(Sera) is going to her college Ball in a month, she is very excited and has been asked by a handsome young man to be his date. I'm excited for her. Ashlee is still playing every sport possible, is a blue belt in mixed martial arts and plays keyboard like an angel it will be a brave boy who asks her to the ball when her time come, ha ha.
I think I can remember you moving to the country just before life got in the way and kept me from the site, I'm real happy to know all is good and your are enjoying and embracing life friend : )) Look forward to reacquainting myself with you and your words Jimi. Hitch
