When true love is found, it is something to celebrate. I enjoyed the buoyancy of this bubbly posting with the romantic color scheme and something sweet to sip. Best wishes with your entry!

Thanks for your review... your name could fit right in with the celebration!
-
I've been told that I sparkle, but I don't really believe it. I can be loud, though. lol
-
Not bossy loud I hope... loud fun-loving is good.
-
You are absolutely right, my friend. :-)
-
Where's the party? I'm coming over right now!!
-
LOL !

A very wel-written romantic 5-7-5 poem about the relationship that are looking at with rose-tinted glasses until it is a few months later when the rose tints start to fade and we see the real person and we seldom like them as they are.

Yes, it can all be rosy to begin with but then it can darken.

Couple meanings dwell in your poem. Rose-tinted glasses often imply we see through only our dreams? Our glasses are tinted. Or perhaps a glass of rose'. At any rate I liked the part of "love is here to sparkle".

Multi meanings. As long as the glass is half full it isn't empty.

Dear Mystery Poet,
hahaha! Aren't you a clever thing. *smile* You sound like one of the guys I dated along the way, actually, making things SOUND so beautiful, yet, when one stops to actually consider the words, one must wonder what kind of sense they truly make.
Typically, looking at things through rose-tinted glasses indicates a willingness to lie to yourself a bit, right? (Google says: having an 'unduly idealistic, optimistic, sentimental, or wistful perspective on or about something.') So your message here is a bit like a haiku satori. I like that. It's not called for in this contest, but adds a lot!
Nice job - thanks and good luck!
(And forgive me, of course, if this is a female!) *smile*

I've known guys like that too... and probably girls as well. Some people can be very unauthentic.
Sorry for my late reply... I've been away. Thank you very much for your feedback, Robyn.

I appreciate this poem for being about the bubbly effervescence of first love and not the passion. Love does make us see everything through rose-colored glasses!

When I read the title I was thinking of the old term of "rose colored glasses." When I saw the poem and the picture I realized I was wrong. That was a creative touch to use the term "rose-tinted" to convey the message of celebration. Z

But you are correct as well... I used 'tinted' to echo the 'coloured' term to get both meanings referenced. I did not want to be obvious.

Thank you.

Delightful combo of verse and illustration! Colors and formatting enhance the overall presentation.
Liked especially the words and phrasing for:
joy
sparkle
your last line
Your posting will attract many votes IMHO for your contest entry.

What a delightful toast this is. I am assuming it might be given at the rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding and the toaster is the maid of honor. Those rose-tinted glasses clinking--lovely image. Rod

Thanks Rod. It's for a romance contest. Most folks might think romance is a private moment, but I think getting married is the ultimate romantic gesture.
-
I agree with you. There is nothing more romantic than a wedding or the reception afterwards. Rod

Love has romantic essence, fragrance and beauty, celebration of joy for love is most romantic with rosy drink; well said, well done. Liked and enjoyed the read. Write-Inspire --DR ALCREATOR

Nothing like a glass or two of pink champagne to get one seeing life through rose-tinted glasses. LOL I hope the hangover is worth it. Good luck with with both the romance and the contest.

I'm now in the school of sour grapes... bitter and twisted, shaken and stirred. My rose-coloured glasses are well and truly busted.
But good luck to everyone else.
-
Another glass of bubbly should fix everything.

Hic! :)
