Setting morning free - an interesting thought really. A day dawning with brilliant sun is a good day. Right now we're having rain. It's amazing how quickly constant rain brings the spirits down. I like your poem

Some great imagery here - morning being set free from the clutches of night by a valiant knight. Swords of sunlight cutting through the forest maintains the theme of a knight in battle. Very creatively done in a few short lines. I enjoyed the read.

My hero! Dawn's valiant knight steps lightly to free the morning from her dark bonds. I love the imagery you have used here - it is most creative. I think I have just reviewed the winning entry.

Hello mystery writer. Your 5-7-5 certainly conforms to the rules. Your verse reflects the image seen in the picture. That's very well done because looking at the picture brings the words to life. Good luck in the contest. Robert

A very well-written 5-7-5 about the sun rays shining through the trees like the knights sword that sets the morning free from dark night and the dawn brings light again.

You have made excellent use of all syllables is this vividly descriptive
rendering of sunrise. The metaphorical presentation is superb, and the artwork is lovely.

Wow!! And how did you know this was me....? LOL! Those stars are just lovely, Lady Di -- glad you enjoyed my 'gladiator' look at the sunrise! ;) :) Have a great day, my wonderful friend -- I'm off to P-T and then I've got that math workshop this afternoon... :) ;) Take care! ;)

Very beautiful piece and the complementary picture makes it even more pointed. (Yes, pun intended.) I like the use of an unusual word in the first line... it makes it stand out.
