It gets more and more intriguing and Charles really needs to have his wits about him. Great chapter Tony, I'm happy to be back on FS and catching up on your story.
cheers,
valda

Sorry this took so long, but I got behind due to the numerous readings and speaking engagements I've been involved in this month for Breast Cancer Awareness. I've been doing too much and am restricted to bed for the next few days which allowed me to finally clean out my inbox - praise God!. This is beautifully penned as usual and another enjoyable read. I loved the little nuances sprinkled throughout like what he thought of terms like interrogate and persuaded linked together. Well done and thank you very much for sharing it.

Thank you so much for going to the trouble to review, especially when not feeling well. It sounds as though you?ve had a really heavy schedule. For a good cause, though.
Thank you for your supportive comments.
All good wishes, Tony.

-A very good chapter, Tony, that updates
us on Charles and Helen's mission.
-It flows well with the discussion
between Charles and Robert.
-I like how Robert doesn't stand on ceremony,
and act like he's owed a debt of gratitude.
-The most interesting developments are
the involvement of Rasheed and the
questioning of Arnoux by David.
-There's some levity toward the end with
the laughter shared about the pear.
-It does sound pretty funny when
you think about who they are dealing with.
-I imagine Mdm. Durand will be
back in the picture at some point soon.

Thanks very much for your comments about this chapter, Pam. I'm delighted that you thought it worth a sixth star. With regard to the 'sir' towards the end, Charles never actually takes up Sir Robert's invitation to address him on first name terms, being the diffident Englishman that he is. He studiously avoids mentioning him by name during the dialogue between 'Sir Robert' at the beginning and 'sir' at the end.

You are very welcome and deserving of the stars and review, Tony. Thanks for sharing; I was under the impression that he just used his name, but maybe I was inferring that!

Well done and so relieved I still had some sixes to share. I am getting closer to moving on from this place as a paying member at least. I still want to do two more rambles on this account to use up a pile of funny money I have atm. No spags and good work again.

These look like some wonderful characters, and I'm sure this is full of action and adventure. I'm afraid I came into the story too late to really catch up, but I'd like to know what Sir Robert is up to.

Tony, your story is getting more and more complex and you are weaving in more intrigue as it goes. It is easy to read and is showing rather than telling. I like your easy-going style. Keep writing, you are doing well.

I am a great fan of this author, Tony and having lived in Australia myself for many years, I'm immediately aware of his twists and turns, slips and slides, hangings' for life on stormy wave rides, whilst whippin' up a poem or two and still quite able to tie up his shoe! even without a drop of GLUE

A very well-written chapter of this story. A few new developments and. Revelations. It will be a miracle when everyone is still alive when the mission is finally done.

Your dialogue is so clean and precise. The narration, the set description is so neatly worked into the story that it never interferes. I can visualize the action as clearly as if I was the third party sitting in the room!

Well done chapter - you seem to have done a lot of research for this story - as it fits into historial events as well as showing knowledge of how things work in these matters.
Good job.

Thanks, Gail. Yes, I've had to research this part of the story quite carefully, as I've never been to Pakistan. I appreciate your kind comments. Most affirming. All good wishes, Tony
