Sounds as if they are still in the honeymoon stages of this romance. (But, I grew up on a farm- so 'fresh and new' did not always have the sweetest of smells... Just like in love. There are always the ups-and-downs.)

Excellent

Sounds like true love. Your verse could refer to the euphoric feeling of new love falling for the first time, or it could be the life-long view of a couple who have made it through all the trials and tribulation of the years and still remained true.
