LOL!
This one is clever and definitely made me laugh out loud.
Now I know what to do with all those socks with a missing mate. ;-)
Always enjoy reviewing your posts. :-)

Hello Mystery Writer!
Beyonce's "All the Single Ladies" popped into my fuzzy brain the moment I read your delightful poem! Actually, I also thought of my husband's childhood as he is the eldest of nine children, and there were definitely a plethora of single socks EVERYWHERE in his household!
Just a delightful rendering that brought a huge smile to my face this morning!
Thank you for sharing!

LOL!! Never even thought of that, but now that you've said it, the poem will never sound the same... :) :) Still have a little basket over my dryer where I place them.... the ones that have been there the longest get used first when I need a 'buffer' or something to store things in or .... whatever comes up!! ;) ;) Still haven't gotten my tree completely done, but that's on the agenda for the morning...
Merry Christmas, Lady Diane!! ;) :) Yvette

Holy smokes, that's a lot of Christmas stockings. Were you by chance spending your nights at a local laundromat, your days making singles into Christmas stockings? (LOL)
What a fun 5-7-5 poem. Good luck in the booth!

I think this is a cute entry for the 5-7-5 writing prompt.
This short verse tells of Christmas socks in a humorous light.
Well done. I wish you luck with the contest.

Thanks, Sharon -- hope your holidays are jolly!!
Comment from Bill Pinder
Interesting and humorous writing about how the missing socks are stolen by elves and woven into multi colored Christmas socks. That is a great story for the recycling industry. Merry Christmas!

I cracked up at this one. I seem to often have the same problem, but I never thought of it as a way for Santa stockings. Enjoyed!
Good luck with the contest.

This is the cutest humorous poem. What a way to make use of the survivors of the dryer. The image is jolly and fun and I love where the presents are placed.
Thanks for sharing.

Yeah, why is that? I get the socks out of the dryer only to find half of them are missing their mate! Making Xmas stockings out of them is a great way to solve that problem though! Good luck in the contest xoxo

Ha ha ha, I love this poem because I can indent if you with it, I have lost countless socks in the washing machine and dryer! Where do they go? These machines must eat them! A fun write, love Dolly x
