Hi Bill, that is very good 5-7-5 poem about an old friend, acquaintance who have never been forgotten. How come Robert(Rabbi) Burns spring to mind? All best. Ulla:)))

Happy New year to you!

This is well done, and a cherished thought, with which we all can follow your example. I just wonder about the title. "Be Forgot" sounds, to me, like you want someone to be forgotten. Instead, your old acquaintance will never be forgotten. I suppose the title drew me in, to see what it was about. Perhaps, that is why you chose this title. I love the use of the word "blooming" in your mind. As if, it lay dormant, like a plant and began to bloom in your thoughts, in a positive remembrance of someone you never want to forget. Well written, and I love the artwork image you chose.
Take care, Jesse

I agree the title seems to imply the opposite of the content. I feel a need to keep it like it is. Thank you, Jesse, for the great review. Happy New Year. Bill

This is a good 575, Bill. Your picture choice and well-chosen words match perfectly. Good job with the syllable count per line. Your words carry a great message, too. Thanks for sharing. Respectfully, Jan

Oh, wow, you did such a good job with this short, short. Every word packed a punch. That's one of the strangest images I've ever seen. Is it just me or is that a skull surrounded by flowers. Well, I think it is and your words really complimented it well. Hugs, Lou

Funny how - at the strangest of times - a memory of a old love will surface and catch us off-guard... even bringing up feelings that we'd long buried and forgotten, yeah? No, they never were forgotten, but yes, we do need them to stay forgot. Great offering for the day, Bill -- thanx for sharing! ;) Yvette

Bill, This is a very interesting and well written 5-7-5 poem you have penned. You used very good words and very interesting art work. I can relate to thinking of someone from the past just out of nowhere. Thanks for sharing. Happy New Year! Teri

From the ground man was taken and to the ground man will return. There is nothing wrong with this as the flowers need fertilizer to grow. Be careful of how you treat dust as that dust could have come from someone famous and beloved.

This is certainly the time of remembrance. This time of year encourages more than any other. So much happiness to look back on, but some sadness in losing loved ones and friends. You summed it up beautifully.

If not for the title, I can't be certain how you feel about the blooming acquaintance. The skull and the flowers seem to cancel each other out.
'Be Forgot' is a pretty strong statement.
I've got some acquaintances I'd like to erase, too.
Peace, Lee

It?s tough knowing where all the bodies are buried ? metaphorically.
