Hi Jim. I think your well written poem speaks of a situation that has finally reached resolve. It seems to me that most people DO considered all races equal thanks to the efforts of peaceful protest such as MLK proffered. I'm glad of it, too. Marilyn

Marilyn, yes we have made such tremendous progress with exceptions that are perhaps simply never resolvable until man can be more Peace centered than patriarchal in nature.

I love these lines. The whole poem is noble and human in its entreaty and dream. To honor a man by continuing his work is the greatest form of flattery. MLK had a good soul, and wise words that were birthed from it. He changed history. How many of us can say that? GREAT , worthy poem.

Tina, I am very humbled to get this six star review based on this free verse poem about Dr. King. He would have been 91 years old on January 15th. I often wonder what the world would look like if he had completed his mission.

A beautiful tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King. He had a dream! But, someone stopped his voice before we could hear it all. I wonder if he hadn't died that day, what would life be like now, if we'd had the chance to hear the rest of his dream.

Patty he would have been 91 this year on his birthday, January 15th. What a different world it might be if he had been able to complete his mission...

Diana, I thank you for the validation on this work. He would have turned 91 years old on January 15th. So much work achieved, so far to go worldwide.

I can?t believe so many years have passed! He still might not be so happy though with conditions today especially in the city communities where drugs and gangs are the norm :(

Daughter's husbands, simply because of the color of their skin. (Daughters, husbands) plural.
"other's feared, out of ignorance, the color of someone's skin." (others)
