A very nice Kyrielle for the challenge. The rhythm and rhymes worked well. And I could hear the steady patter of raindrops against the window. Well done.

Hello JLR!
I so appreciate the sentiments shared in your well-crafted Kyrielle - one of my favorite poetic forms. Yours paints a picture to which I can well relate! And as I write, not rain but a doozy of a winter storm has descended upon us... again!
Thank you for sharing!

Diane, thank you. I also find the Kyrielle poetic style much to my liking, be safe as the snow builds a foot hold.
Comment from Susan Larson
Your Kyrielle poem is beautiful with a beautiful refrain. The tapping and cleansing of the raindrops and the hope for sun's rays dancing, appealing to the senses. I can just see, hear, feel and even smell this "crescendo off the pane." The bird looks like he shares your feelings.

A fun kyrielle! I love the sound and look and feel of a gentle rain, but my bones don't! You capture the emotions well with your poem. Thanks for sharing. "Crescendo" is a great verb to describe the cumulative effect of rain, rain, rain.

Hello JLR, this is a lovely Kyrielle written true to form. The repeated line fits seamlessly into place without sounding forced. The subject is attractive and a good read. Good picture to accompany and the whole is very well done. Good Potlatch entry. Good Luck - Warm regards Dorothy x

I truly enjoyed this Kyrielle. I too love the rain, though sometimes too many rainy days in a row can be depressing. The rhyme pattern was interesting and pleasant. The repeating line fit nicely into its position at the close of each stanza, never appearing forced or out of place. I think this is a dandy poem. I enjoyed it very much.

The dripping bird is quite a theme. Today in our church meeting, the lesson talked about how God cares for the tiny sparrow, and He'll take care of us. I picture a chicken covering her chicks with her wings.
Good poem, vivid images.

I enjoyed your challenge poem for Potlatch. Your words create good imagery. The repeated line fits in nicely in all verse. Your picture choice is a good pairing with your well-chosen words. Thanks for sharing. Respectfully, Jan

The description in this poem is amazing. I felt like I was seeing everything through your words and witnessing it all. From the gentle rain to the little wren, I felt present through it all.
