It's true the jaded world doesn't recognize royalty and will do everything in its power to undermine it or destroy it such as any high office in any land, so yes the unfortunate person in that position does have an off slanted crown every once in a while making the tabloids in excess of millions. The poem probably isn't meant to be read from the world's perspective but that is the way we see it. The fact that it can bring up controversial views is a sign that the writing has merit. Short and precise. I was expecting a narrative, but appreciate the brevity of this poem. The place of royalty is changing in the public's eye. It's just big business. We know nothing of "their" world.
