Shawn,
Brilliant, quite brilliant from the introduction of the emotion sensitive robot to the denouement when the programming kicks to denounce the miscreant. Reminds me of he work of Asimov and Heinlin. I look forward to more.

Reg
ps I very seldom read prose, but I'm glad I read this one.

Congrats on your win! I missed this release--glad I caught up. This is an intriguing story--an original!--very well told; I liked the wry humor: e.g. ...under favorable circumstances; this wasn't one...Cheers. LIZ

This is absolutely amazing. Science fiction is not my favorite genre, but this story is so compelling and interesting that it easily overcame my initial reluctance to read. Wonderful. The best of luck in the contest.

I love how the descriptions and behaviors in the initial paragraphs give you the impression that Twenty is human, only for it to be revealed otherwise when Tamara notices him. The conversation between them doesn't seem like one that lasts 75 minutes (the difference between the boarding estimate at the beginning and the exact number at the end), which I credit to how engaging it was to read. I got a sense of foreboding with the last sentence regarding the future of New Earth. I suppose history is doomed to be repeated.
