Awaiting a Kiss

by Tom Horonzy

Some glow-worms,
I'm told, are girls waiting
for a kiss by a prince in the night

So they can
spread wings and fly away,
not unlike fluttering butterflies

To a realm
where boys and girls conjoin
to become kings and queens evermore.

As an aside - National Geographic states female glow-worm with the brightest gleam makes the best mate.

Debbie M suggested parry defined would be to fend off and Dolly felt alike so I changed the last line which might happen sometimes in marriages.

Then again, I was rescued by kahpot, who suggested I meet the requirement of 3- 6- 9, where I had a lacking syllable on line two - now fixed. In addition, Pam came along indicating the prompt was for three stanzas, not one, and that, too, is done. Thanks to my FanStorian fans.
