How the ground looks when the snow falls.

Winter Dessert

by Jodi Ann Anderson

Hazy skies,

Drizzle their sweet syrup,

Calmly dripping wet towards freezing ground.

Sugared snows,

Decorate the winter,

As they taste spicy gingerbread earth.

Whipped cream swirls,

Near midnight cocoa ponds,

Showcase winter's decadent desserts.
