This was a beautiful poem. Flying kites is a neat thing to do. I used to fly them with the boys and we had a good also. All kids should fly a kite once in their lifetime.

I finally got to fly a kite after I had had four children and I had three girls in elementary school when I did that. I had given up a son for adoption earlier and did not know where he was but had he been with me up, sure we would've been flying kites with him as well.

Every parent needs to fly a kite with their kids.

I remember my kite flying as a kid. Your poem is very relatable and of special memories. My uncle and older brothers taught me to make kites. I especially loved making and flying thevtyoe called "Mad bull. Nicely done.

That sounds like a fun day and a wonderful memory to keep. I actually don't remember ever flying a kite. I've watched them being flown but never done it myself. Thanks for sharing.

Flying a kite is not as easy as it looks and I once saw a grown man trying to get a kite into the air with no success! But here in your poem we see three kites take flight, I enjoyed your uplifting post Patricia, love Dolly x
