Sentence Acrostic

Poetry Contest
Write an acrostic poem in which the first words when read vertically forms a complete sentence. This sentence should be related to the body of the poem. The completed poem must be five to 10 lines long. Be sure the text relates to the sentence.

*Make your sentence in boldface font so it may be easily read.
*It may be free verse or a rhyming poem.

EXAMPLE: The sentence in this sentence acrostic is" An admirer is too shy to greet you."

An~ afraid and uncomfortable
admirer~ watches from a distance.
Is~ their meeting not meant to be?
Too~ uncertain he falters.
Shy~ kills again an opportunity
to~ soothe his loneliness.
Greet~ a possible special person once more will not be.
You~ and he must understand fear feasts on love doubts.

The contest winner will win half of the prize pool which is based on the number of entries. The second and third place winners will each share the remaining prize pool. The prize pool is currently 30.00 member dollars. There are only 3 spots still open. If all open spots are used the prize pool will be 36.00 member dollars. In this contest at least 2 submissions must be made for the vote to begin.
