Let the Lunatics Run the Asylum Fiction Contest! Write a fictional short story about a character that is Insane, Crazy, Bananas, Bonkers, Cuckoo, Daffy, Loony, Lost their Marbles, Mental, Nutty as a Fruitcake, Off their Rocker, Off their Trolley, Psycho, or Whack-a doddle-doo! They can be the crazy hero (Boo Radley or Karl Childers), the crazy villain (Jack Torrance), the crazy killer (Michael Myers), the crazy victim (Carrie White), or some combination of crazy. (FYI: Boo Radley-To Kill a Mockingbird; Karl Childers-Sling Blade; Jack Torrance-The Shining; Michael Myers-Halloween; Carrie White-Carrie.) The length of the story should be more than 500 words but less than 1,000 words. Sorry, Wayne. The character's name cannot be Ohmie. Sorry, Wayne!
The contest winner will win half of the prize pool which is based on the number of entries. The second and third place winners will each share the remaining prize pool.
