Working a Theme
Working with a theme
Hello, folk, instead of going for my usual sentence contest I thought I would mix it up a bit. Below you will find four themes. The exercise of this contest is for you, the writer, to pick one theme , and them compose a wonderfully constructed piece of prose with the theme. You can be as creative in your interpretation as you like, BUT the theme must be clear to the reader. Here are your choices:
Candy mouth
Innocently indecent
Selfish martyrdom
Rebound distraction
Here are the rules:
1. You must pick one theme from the list above and create a prose piece around it.
2. You must state what theme you chose in the author?s notes at the bottom of the piece.
3. Word count must be between 500 and 5000 words.
4. Must be SPAG free at the time of the vote.
Be creative. Have fun. All styles are encouraged except poetry. This is a prose competition. I can?t wait to see what y?all come up with.
The contest winner will win half of the prize pool of 36.00 member dollars. In this contest at least 2 submissions must be made for the vote to begin.
Deadline: Contest is closed. Deadline was Friday, February 19, 2010.
