We The People

Nice U.S. Political Poem Contest Winner
The Democrats, I will admit,
express desire to save the earth.
The "New Green Deal" that they push through,
some day, we might find out its worth.
The Democrats want equal rights,
for blacks and whites, I'm down with that.
Pro choice they are, and I agree,
a woman's choice, that's where it's at.

Republicans put our country first,
they're all about creating jobs,
and fair trade so we don't get screwed,
from countries that will try to rob...AMERICA!

The right to bear arms, they uphold,
capitalism they embrace.
We'll all get rich and protect our wealth,
in times like these, guns have their place.

Political parties need to heal,
agree to put our country first.
Instead of taking what is great,
reversing it, 'til it's the worst.
Absolute power will corrupt,
of late, we've seen this put in play.

"We the people", the founders meant us.

Shouldn't it be, that it's still true today?

Writing Prompt
Okay, so here's a challenge for you!

Write a three stanza poem about Democrats, Republicans, and what you want for this country.

Here are the terms:

There should be one stanza about Democrats with ABSOLUTELY NO insults, passive aggressive statements, or sarcasm.

One stanza about Republicans with ABSOLUTELY NO insults, passive aggressive statements, or sarcasm.

Third stanza should be about what you want for the United States. You do not have to live here or be from here to participate in this contest.

All three stanza should be equal in length.

I want to see positivity. If it helps keep in mind the golden rule

"If you can't think of anything nice to say, then say nothing at all."

I will be monitoring this contest myself. What I say goes.

Please note: if anyone compares anyone to a nazi they will be automatically disqualified.
