A prayer - These words I write ...

Lord, may the words my pen would write,
be as a stream of grace and light.
And may the spirit of my soul,
reflect the source that makes men whole.

Lord, may a golden river flow,
from deep within the Spirit's glow.
As God has nourished saints this way,
please, in my darkness light my day.

Lord, may I know where dreams are bound,
and let me hear hope's wisdom sound.
I cannot live outside of hope,
without your love I would not cope.

All hope is built on selfless dreams,
and not on earth-bound temp'ral schemes.
One day I'll set aside this tent,
restore to God this crown I'm lent.

He saved me from death's dark despair,
replaced it with His grace and care.
He gave me hope when all seemed lost,
from death by faith, life's stream I've crossed.
