Vic's farewell

by royowen

Farewell

We're all unique, and surely bring,
a different tune, a song to sing.
We were not born to change this Earth,
but by our presence give it worth.

We will not see while we are here,
men such as this, who have no peer.
Though we'll be sad we should not cry,
he's planted gems where warm winds lie.

We may not know, while souls remain,
he's left his mark on time's refrain.
But I know this we're richer now,
He wrote God's song on wisdom's brow.

For none of us is made of stone,
yet what we leave is ours alone.
My friend, you've left your stamp on grace,
revealed to us God's loving face.

The greatest sorrow man can know,
is absence from love's sweetest flow.
To watch love's void impose her way,
as hope leaks from the light of day.

You live now where one knows no pain,
and though love reigns there lies no stain.
You know the light that ever shines,
the throne of grace where love reclines.

Where songs of praise forever sung,
unite faith's voice in every tongue.
Rejoice my friend for we'll not pine,
till we break bread and drink joy's wine.

Envoi:
He wore his faith, a regal crown,
yet never donned a sullied frown.

A dear. dear saint. Vic Micalef, a faithful member of our church, died from a sudden illness which snatched him from our church and his beloved family. He is survived by his dear wife Carmen, and two daughters and two grandchildren, He was a faithful servant, and a rare being, generous, but not rich, wealthy in faith, a willing and kindly man, who filled any roll required of he and Carmen. There will never be his like again, Farewell dear brother, you dance and sing with the saints and angels, and have been welcomed into the Lords presence.

Psalm 116:15 Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.

Thanks for reading. R.Owen
