Fear of the unknown
Close my eyes
I lay here afraid to close my eyes
My eyelids act as screens replaying all my sins
I am powerless to remove the pain I have put into this world
The only thing stopping the images are my tears
The water trying to wash away the sin
My eyes will open to a new day
I pray I make it a good one for the ones I have wronged.
