There's A Rabbit At The Door

by BlueMarble

I was helpless to stop the damage that day,
When playful dogs took Mrs. Rabbit away.
Her litter of bunnies in my back yard,
Ventured out and found life hard.
Most of them didn't survive,
But sweet little Mickey came through alive.

With his family gone there was nothing to do,
But explore his world and find something new.
I guess that’s how it happened to be,
He came to my door and made friends with me.
Every morning he stops by for a while;
I give him his breakfast he gives me a smile.
I call him Mickey but Michael is his full name --
Named for the angel he called - the angel that came.

(The Archangel Michael in case you don't know,
 Is known as the protector that loves you so)
