I hate to see thoughtless people littering.

Just A Load Of Rubbish?

by LisaMay

This message I send in the hope to end
the litter that spoils my view.
It’s aimed at the crass, be they lad or lass,
so thoughtless in what they do.

When I see a mess it causes distress,
’cos I love a tidy town.
Trash junk strewn about by a careless lout
no doubt will cause me to frown.

It’s such a disgrace to muck up this place
where others will walk and play.
When you scatter waste in your speedy haste
it’s someone else who will pay.

When papers do blow, it just goes to show
you really don’t give a toss.
Those empty drink cans dropped by lazy hands
will make me feel really cross.

Scraps of your fast food don’t need to be viewed.
Do you want to spoil my day?
Just bin them, you fool! It’s really not cool
to drop them and walk away.

It’s not only me who wishes to see
the streets clear of all that mess.
Please clean up your act! Let’s all make a pact.
Will YOU pledge it now? Say yes.
