Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
The magic of television...

Takes Me Places

by Boogienights

In our living room, sits a large box,
fifty-five inches, flat, with a screen.
Turned on for many hours each day,
there is much magic there to be seen.

Movies, musicals, color, and light,
documentaries that educate.
News of the world, it transports us there,
info daily, of that, no debate.

Seeing countries halfway 'round the world,
quite astounding it is, don't you think?
Back in the day, the news traveled slow,
now we know everything in a wink.

Not exclusive to us, many own one as well,
but the magic, I'm sure, is the same.
So much to choose from, it makes my head spin,
watching TV's, a magical game.

Truly, television brings to me,
amazing sights that I might never see.
 Pyramids in Egypt, Colosseum in Rome,
pushing buttons, it's all there for me.

Some people pan it, call it 'idiot box',
but I for one would disagree.
There is much magic there to be seen,
in the wonderful world of TV.
