Death is Inevitable

by Tom Horonzy

The rider on the pale horse is Death.
His companion-in-arms is Hades.
The two ride on and will not subside
until the war ends for our mortal lives
at the time and place of the Millenium.
Its purpose will be and currently is
to destroy what believers believe in.
Those who toe Satan's line and recant
their faith die a death of a sycophant
as Judas did with his inglorious betrayal.
Trading Jesus for silver was damnable.
I am glad, not be wearing his sandals.
Imagine walking the paths of Judea,
seeing firsthand Christ's miracles,
only to say they were sleight of hand.
Why should a fool have money in hand
when he has no sense?.. (Prov 17:16) proven
when he was found hanging in a tree.
Did he discover the error of his way
regaining hope he could be forgiven?
The happiness he sought became
the misery he brought upon himself.
What about us? Shakespeare said
"Death may feed on men but once;
afterward there is no more dying.
Will Hades have his way with us, or
will our hearts be touched by a love
offered by the Shepherd of all souls?
Only by death can we gain eternal life
with gates of pearl and streets of gold...
or by rejecting His offer gain life eternal
suffering in a world of fire and brimstone?
