When looking up unto the sky,
my memories oft turn to you
I think about things done and sigh,
when love was young, joyous and true.

My thoughts return to times, long past,
when I held you within my arms.
They still remain, will always last,
the sweetness, joy, love of your charms.

Though you are gone, you'll always stay,
forever, never to depart;
For you were there for eve'ry day,
with comfort, warmth, peace for my heart.

I thank the wondrous ones that be-
For sending that dear girl to me.
