Church Fred Would Dread

by pookietoo

Going to church is what Fred would dread.
He would not drink water, eat the bread.
He went there with a frown on his face.
Because he felt alone, out of place.

He learned others had burdens they bear,
And he received full fellowship there.
When he prayed, he felt peace from above.
People hugged him; he felt of his love.

Fred loved himself and had a fresh start.
He knew others had a loving heart.
He would try going to church each week.
There would be many answers he'd seek.

He was given scriptures he could read.
Friends found out new clothes is what he'd need.
Church to him was a beautiful place.
He went there with a smile on his face.
