Advice For Life

by LisaMay

I frown in dread that I’ll miss out.
I am so shy, I’m full of doubt.
I crave your love, but how can I?
I feel I lack the skill to try.

An answer came, in quiet voice —
You need no skill; just make a choice.
An open heart finds fellowship,
then loneliness will lose its grip.

Don’t think of “I”, but think of “us”.
We’re passengers on life’s same bus.
So step aboard and take a seat;
the people there are friends to greet.

Reach out, connect, and open up.
True joy could fill your empty cup.
Be friendly and your troubles share.
There’s always someone who will care.

Love one another as yourself
and you will find a greater wealth.
Love will fill any empty hole;
just love the Lord with all your soul.

Your smile will help you to go far,
responding to your guiding star.
We all need love; we all need friends.
Do what the Bible recommends.
