Wonderfully wild and
Heroic, I hungered for your heart. You
Energized the elements of my limp life —
Never to be numbly normal again.

Love’s longing lingered. You became my
One-and-only, an open-hearted overflowing
Vessel containing the very essence of love.
Evermore.

Caring caresses created contentment.
Arms reaching, I availed myself of
Magic moments amidst the mundane.
Electric.

That touch of tenderness
Often haunts my old memories…

Sincere smiles, sexy, sardonic. Sorrows also,
Transiting through tough times together.
Alone again, ageing with alarm,
You and our younger yesterdays remain vivid.
