Courage Is

Being the first one to try
Not being afraid to die
Doing what you know is right
Fighting with all of your might

Facing each one of your fears
Taking a dare from your peers
Learning to do something new
Defending your country too

Welcoming your wayward boy
Giving away a new toy
Forgiving a spouse or son
Sharing a reward you won

Being able to say "no"
Sharing everything you know
Not eating anything sweet
Sharing your last bit of meat

Rescuing cats in a tree
Not drinking coffee or tea
Learning to live on your own
Calling your date on the phone
