Caterpillar gorges on life's goods,

Spins itself a silky cocoon ...
 
Outer shell is wearing thin,

Soon to dry and crumble ...

Life's not finished yet!

Transformation!

Butterfly

Flies out

Writing Prompt
Write a nonet poem. It's a simple format. A nonet has nine lines. The first line has nine syllables, the second line eight syllables, the third line seven syllables, etc... until line nine that finishes with just one syllable. It can be on any subject and rhyming is optional.

Perhaps this metamorphosis is a parallel for our life. Our full transformation will occur when we arrive in Heaven, fully free, with a new immortal eternal body.
