Remembering Pearl Harbor

by jake cosmos aller

Remembrance

Every December 7th

Memories of the deceased

Ever live on in our memories

Memories that should never die

Blessed spirits

Ever more

Remembering their life

In hopes that they did not die

Nothing remains but their spirits

Ghosts lingering in the air

Pearl Harbor day

Every December 7th

As we reflect on death

Remembering

Lost in their thoughts

Having a moment of reflection

As we think about the past

Remembrance of things left unsaid

Because just because

Of the past that does not die

Remembering those who have gone on.
