Pres Roosevelt was the man in power.
December 7 will live in infamy.
Number killed - 2043.
Japanese subs - major role to play
Hurt - more than 1100 that day.
Dive bombers band fighters covered the air.
Some bombs damaged two ships beyond repair.
The attack was a big surprise I know.
It all happened 81 years ago.
The Japanese attacked on that Sunday
Over 300 planes lost in the fray.
Led to US entering World War II.
Cruisers, battleships, aircraft destroyed too.
