Magical Moonbeams

Imagine a world lit by magical moonbeams,

where shadows are silvered with shimmering light.

Beneath the vast heavens that glimmer and twinkle,

swift comets glide smoothly into a black night.

Whenever the heavens are lit by pale moonlight

with halo-lined clouds interspersed with the stars,

a fanciful zephyr will carry me upwards

and tickle shy Venus while I dance with Mars.

Perhaps when the dawn sits upon the horizon

and peeps o'er the hills with a sunny, bright face,

I'll rest in soft fields full of ruby red clover

and wait once again for a moonbeam's embrace.
