A Paradelle

The Return

He'd promised her true loyalty

He'd promised her true loyalty

and everlasting affection

and everlasting affection

True loyalty and everlasting affection

he'd promised her

But duty called as war began

But duty called as war began

and off he went to fight with might

and off he went to fight with might

But war began and duty called

As he went off to fight with might

When March winds ripped across the waves

When March winds ripped across the waves

She saw a ship plow through the mist

She saw a ship plow through the mist

Across the waves she saw a ship

Plow through the mist when March winds ripped

True loyalty and everlasting affection

he'd promised her

But he went off as war began

and duty called to fight with might

Through the mist she saw a ship plow

across the waves when March winds ripped
