Sad Poem

When Will I See You

by Wils

When will it be that I see you, I ask
This is the challenge God set us to task
Watching you now walk away in despair
This cloak of sadness I'm destined to wear

Hung overhead is a cloud of remorse
For when we decided to take this course
I said I'd be strong, brave I would remain
Longing for when I will see you again

Each evening we speak from so far away
Tears in your voice make my sadness still stay
Calendar counts down the months that remain
Marking the days 'til I see you again
