I’ve always been an avid book lover

The one I love best has my name on the cover

A paranormal anthology

Includes a story penned by me

The jacket feels silky, a sensuous hold

The artwork is lovely, in soft blues and gold

This work is quite a contradiction

I’d never written a word of fiction

I was a lofty, nerdy academic

Zooming my way through the pandemic

Clearing my mind reading fantasy

When a fanfiction contest called out to me

Chosen for print, I was truly humbled

Into this writing world I’ve stumbled

Now, anytime I’m woebegone

I look for me on Amazon
