Devil My Friend

My journey has taken me far and wide
Yet, still, I stand alone with no one by my side
The dark, endless tunnel has left me depleted
 
Outraged, I scream into the night
Sinking deeper into the abyss
I cannot see the light
 
Reaching out in hopes of a hand to hold
I feel the loss of my very soul
Away the angels fly, leaving me alone with the demon inside
 
Anger and rage 
Lash out from within
Hurting others the way I have been
 
Smeared on the pavement
I laugh in their face
Happy to see the pain I create
 
Not alone anymore; I'm finally seen
By the Devil who loves me 
For the souls that I bring

On vacation to PA to visit family, and it has been one issue after another. Sometimes when I come back home I tend to feel like I am drowning forgetting how strong I am. However, I am very grateful to spend time with my parents.
