Finding Your Muse Club
In The Arms Of A Sunflower
by K.L. Rockquemore
Misty panes yawn
haze of dawn fades a~lone ray of sun pierces somber skies, indigo shadows nestle against morning mountains ~ her heart hurts she reflects Radiant hues of Autumn
terracotta and tangerine glide silently by coming to rest in the arms of a sunflower ~ the corners of her mouth lift she brightens A breeze
crisp as winter’s morn’ drifts across her freckled cheeks, stirring ~ pleading for rainy day blues to recede like the tide returning to sea ~ she releases With Sunday morning ease
a caged breath eases, peering through sun soaked panes ~ her pain rides on the back of wings toward a pink horizon ~ she heals |

Finding Your Muse Club Event this week was to free write.
Julia Cameron, author of The Artist's Way, refers to writing
in the morning as "morning pages."
I used this writing exercise to share a suffering woman's,
moment of reflection ~
moment of hope ~
moment of healing.
When we let go ~ we grow.
